Wisconsin Early Childhood Association (WECA)
Wisconsin Early Childhood Association non-profit organization. Wisconsin Early Childhood Association (WECA) is a statewide, nonprofit organization serving as a professional association whose members care for and educate Wisconsin's children, aged birth to eight. WECA is an affiliate of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® (Teacher Education and Compensation Helps) Wisconsin Scholarship and Bonus Program provides scholarships for early childhood and school age providers to attend technical or private colleges or universities to achieve a higher educational level, by completing a specific educational path.
The Registry offers the following Credentials that are recognized throughout the state for the following specialty areas. NWTC offers the coursework for the credentials through our certificates. To receive the Credential from The Registry, you will prepare a portfolio and complete a commission process in addition to completing the certificate courses.

National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)
National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is the world's largest organization working on behalf of young children with nearly 80,000 members, a national network of more than 300 state and local Affiliates, and a growing global alliance of like-minded organizations. NAEYC is the leading membership association for those working with and on behalf of children from birth through age eight.

Early Childhood Portfolio
The Early Childhood Portfolio is documentation of the growth in your knowledge and thinking during your course of study in the Early Childhood Education associate degree program at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. The portfolio is organized in a manner that provides clear evidence of your growth. In essence, the portfolio is the story or your experiences and reflections in the field of Early Childhood Education.
