This course will provide the opportunity to develop the skills needed to diagnose, service and repair the electrical side of the antilock brake system, vehicle stability enhancement system, and electronic steering and suspension system. Higher level, more complex procedure and operations related to instruction relative to consumer auto repair.
Advanced Electronics
Analyze and utilize mathematical modeling for applications of solid-state devices, including Op-amps, diode circuits, BJT transistors, MOSFET transistors, switching circuits, and linear power supplies. Design basic BJT and MOSFET amplifier circuits as well as laboratory, simulation, and documentation. (Prerequisites: 10-605-161, Linear Electronics 2: JFET Amp)
Advanced EMT Refresher
Clinical decision making, pharmacology, intravenous access, and medical emergency cases for Wisconsin EMT-IT level emergency care.
Advanced Imaging Modality Concepts
Explores advanced imaging modalities including, CT scanning, magnetic resonance (MR) scanning, medical sonography, and fluoroscopy, and how each contributes to the concept of diagnostic yield (DY). Image data management and networking will also be discussed. (Prerequisite: 10-605-219, Foundations of Image Quality)
Advanced Microbiology
10-513-140 ADVANCED MICROBIOLOGY ...provides an overview of acid fast organisms, fungi, parasites, and anaerobic bacteria. The organisms, their pathophysiology, epidemiology, the diseases and conditions that they cause, laboratory methods of handling, culturing and identification will be discussed. (Prerequisite: 10-806-197, Microbiology; 10-513-133, Clinical Microbiology)
Advanced Model Finishing
Expands on paint theory, safety, and equipment. Introduces use of vinyl masking systems and creation of multi layered painting processes as well as advanced techniques with gloss, metallic paint, and clear coat. High end sanding, buff and polishing techniques are also covered. (Prerequisite: 10-614-148, Intro to Model Finishing)
Advanced Radiographic Imaging
10-526-230 ADVANCED RADIOGRAPHIC IMAGING...explores the factors that impact image acquisition, display, archiving and retrieval. Guidelines for selecting exposure factors and evaluating images within digital systems are discussed. Principles of digital system quality assurance and maintenance are presented. (Prerequisites: Enrolled in Radiography program; 10-526-159, Radiographic Imaging)
Advanced Refinishing
This course provides the opportunity for the learner to develop the knowledge, skills, process and understanding of blending adjacent vehicle panels, blending methods for single stages and clearcoats, application and blending of automotive multi-stage finishes, refinishing defect identification, diagnosis, and repair. (Prerequisites: 10-405-118 Intro to Auto Refinishing; 10-405-107, Collision Refinish Surface Prep; 10-405-121, Collision Refinish Topcoat Application)
Advanced SolidWorks Modeling
Introduces expanded SolidWorks terminology, software operation, object creation, and manipulation of advanced surface models. Also utilizes assemblies, motion studies, and advanced modeling functions. (Prerequisite: 10-614-238, Intro to SolidWorks Modeling)
Advanced Vehicle Manufacture Technology
Diagnose, service and repair intermittent drivability concerns, monitoring live PID data with scanner, graphing data with lab scope, fuel injection monitoring with scanner, graphing fuel injectors with lab scope, performing diagnostic snapshot/recordings of live vehicle data, and playing back the recorded data to isolate the concern.
