Digital Media Career Experience
10-206-199 DIGITAL MEDIA CAREER EXPERIENCE ...students can select any hands on experience related to: Internship, Field Research, Service Learning, Capstone, Industry Related or International Experience. Instructor approval required. Portfolio presentation required. (Prerequisite: 10-105-103, Career Fundamentals; Corequisite: 10-206-185, Video Production and Editing II)
Digital Media Fundamentals
10-206-130 DIGITAL MEDIA FUNDAMENTALS ...media examples in audio, video, history of radio/tv broadcasting, concepts of videography, live video streaming, pre-production, scriptwriting and motion graphics.
Digital Print Fundamentals
Develop skills and knowledge associated with the printing industry, work hands-on with digital printing equipment to output projects. Course content covers identifying different print methods, typical print workflow, transitioning designs to printed media as well as begin to develop production-planning criteria. (Corequisite: 10-111-161, Illustrator Fundamentals)
Digital Print-Advanced
In this course learners will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge of layout as it pertains to specialty printing. Using a variety of digital output equipment and software, learners will develop and apply custom skills for advanced digital print output. These will include die-cutting, gloss/emboss, variable data, and specialty substrates. Learners will also develop problem-solving skills while collaboratively as a group as well as individually to complete a print solution. (Pre-Requisite: Digital Print Fundamentals 10-204-110, Co-Requisite: Layout & Composition 10-111-125)
DMS Clinical Experience 1
Opportunities to apply scanning skills in a clinical setting. Students concentrate on ultrasound examinations of the abdominal organs. Participation in this course will take place at a hospital or clinic. (Prerequisite: Accepted into the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program; Co-Requisite: 10-526-203, Scanning with Proficiency)
DMS Clinical Experience 2
Further experience in a clinical setting allows the student to continue to improve technical skills while accepting more responsibilities during scanning procedures. (Prerequisite: Accepted into the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program; 10-526-209, DMS Clinical Experience 1)
DMS Clinical Experience 3
Provides further opportunity for students to expand their skills in a clinical setting. Students begin to function as team members under the guidance of the instructor and authorized clinical personnel. (Prerequisite: Accepted into the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program; 10-526-213, DMS Clinical Experience 2)
DMS Clinical Experience 4
Prepares the student to assume the role of a sonographer. This course enhances the student's scanning and employee skills through clinical practice. Serves as a transition between student and employee. (Prerequisite: Accepted into the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program; Corequisite: 10-526-276, DMS Clinical Experience 3)
DMS Fundamentals of Scanning
Introduces cross sectional anatomy as it relates to Diagnostic Medical Sonography along with physics principals. Learners are introduced to the basics of general scanning to include operation of equipment, scanning techniques, and organ/vessel identification. (Prerequisites: Accepted into the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program; 10-526-221, Sonography Physics 1; 10-806-179, Adv. Anatomy & Physiology)
Driveline Diagnostics and Repair
Develop the skills needed to diagnose, service, and repair driveshaft/axles, differentials, and four wheel drive/all-wheel drive systems. (Corequisites: 10-602-130, Clutch & Manual Transmission)
Driver/Operator Aerial-Certified
Types and construction of aerial apparatus including inspecting, testing, driving, tillering, positioning, stabilizing, operating telescoping, strategy and tactics of aerial apparatus.
Driver/Operator Pumper-Certified
Types of fire pump equipped apparatus-inspection, maintenance, water supply, systems, fire hose nozzles, flow rates, pressure and hydraulic calculations, relay pumping operations, foam equipment and systems.
