Results
Labor Relations & Negotiations
Introduces the participant to the history of the labor movement and includes the legal collective bargaining processes while applying the learned skills with case studies, a mock negotiation of a realistic collective bargaining contract, and the simulation of a grievance arbitration.
Laboratory Intern Experience
Provides learners the opportunity to practice skills in a true laboratory setting. Emphases include successful execution of operating procedures and protocols, accurate and complete data collection and documentation, and relation of routine tasks to larger context of major project objectives and/or elements of research goals. (Prerequisites: 10-806-135, College Chemistry 1 AND 10-806-154, General Physics 1 AND 10-806-114, General Biology with a "C" or better)
Laboratory Science Experience
Provides learners the opportunity to practice skills in a true laboratory setting. Includes successful execution of operating procedures and protocols, accurate and complete data collection and documentation, and relation of routine tasks to larger context of major project objectives and/or elements of research goals.
Land Law 1
Registration laws of Wisconsin, history of property law, laws of evidence, performing a property survey, adverse possession, unwritten rights, professional liability/stature and role of the land surveyor in court. (Prerequisite: Acceptance into Civil Engineering Technology Program)
Large Model Management
Building large assemblies from SolidWorks, Inventor, and 3D Point Cloud data. Utilizing assembly/sub-assembly structure. Exposure to CAD file management and work flows using AutoDesk Vault. Using the large assemblies to create factory layouts. Exposure to NavisWorks and AutoDesk Plant Design. (Prerequisites: 10-606-106, SolidWorks Intermediate)
Law Office Administration
Exploration of law office infrastructure including organization systems and file management; the legal marketplace and roles of lawyers, paralegals and other members of the legal team; personnel relations, leadership styles and employment laws; docketing and calendaring; law office financial concerns including timekeeping, legal fees, costs, billing and client trust accounts; ethical considerations in law office management. (Corequisite: 10-110-101, Paralegal Intro/Legal Ethics)
Law-Family
Exploration of family law practice; marriages and other domestic relationships; contracts affecting marriage; legal actions affecting the family including annulment, divorce, legal separation, paternity, adoption; laws relating to children and reproduction; drafting pleadings and documents relevant to family law practice; ethical issues and the paralegal's role in family law practice. (Prerequisite: 10-110-101, Paralegal Intro/Legal Ethics with a "C" or better.)
Layout & Composition
Develop skills in digital composition and layout using industry software. Course content covers appropriate software selection, graphic and text content management, color specifications, file preparation, and software solutions to graphic communication problems. (Prerequisite: 10-111-161, Illustrator Fundamentals; 10-111-101, Photoshop Fundamentals)

Having a vision statement and integrating change management, team building, and developing others, with results orientation and customer focus.
Leadership Development
Leadership effectiveness and organization requirements, individual and group motivation strategies, vision, mission and goals, ethical behavior, leadership style and adaptation, impacts of power and influence, employee development, coaching, managing change, and conflict resolution.
Leadership Development Career Experience
Students can select any hands-on experience related to: Internship, Field Research, Service Learning, Capstone, Industry Related or International Experience. Instructor approval required. (Prerequisite: 10-105-103, Career Fundamentals; Corequisite: 10-196-188, Project Management Fundamentals)
Lean Office
Provide the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills, and understanding of keys of lean application, effective lean tools, lean concepts, gain management support and eliminate waste in office systems and processes.
