Course Description
10-531-111 EMT Part A (Emergency Medical Technician Part A...Provides foundational knowledge for Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) candidates. Topics include: AHA CPR Basic Life Support certification, basic anatomy and physiology, medical legal considerations, patient assessment, airway management, cardiac management, and basic pharmacology. Students who successfully complete EMT Part A will be eligible to take EMT Part B. EMT Part B is needed for eligibility to participate in the National Registry of EMT's (NREMT) EMT exams required for Wisconsin DHS EMT licensure. Prerequisite: Accepted in to EMT Program or Fire Protection Technician Program
