Graphic Design Application

Apply complete graphic design strategies. Course content covers responsibilities, management, and client interaction. Professional portfolio development, peer critique, and freelance exposure. (Prerequisite: 10-111-131, Graphic Design Project Mgmt)

Graphic Design Development

3 cr.

Develop graphic design standards. Course content covers graphic design composition including image content, color strategies, typography usage, proofing and ethical standards. Begin active participation in portfolio assessment critique process. (Prerequisite: 10-111-112, Graphic Design Fundamentals)

Graphic Design Fundamentals

3 cr.

Explore and discover graphic design careers. Course content covers history of graphic design, concept strategies, presentation and critique processes. Begin applying design principles, design solutions, and design requirements. (Prerequisite: 10-111-161, Illustrator Fundamentals)

Graphic Design Project Management

3 cr.

Perform graphic design project management. Course content covers portfolio construction, live client presentation skills, results-driven design solutions, identify resources required for graphic design production and team responsibilities. (Prerequisite: 10-111-126, Graphic Design Development)

Ground Water & Distribution

3 cr.

Physical, chemical, and biological principles of operation of groundwater and distribution systems. The basic unit processes, control parameters, and mathematical problem-solving related to groundwater facilities and distribution systems are introduced. Laboratory procedures and practices involved with operation of water analysis and treatment. (Prerequisite: 10-506-167, Surface Water & Distribution)

Group Dynamics Traffic Safety School

0.6 cr.

Is a highway safety initiative within Wisconsin which aims to assist persons involved in alcohol/other drug-related traffic offenses to make permanent changes in their drinking and driving behavior and attitudes.

Group Facilitation

3 cr.

An introduction to theory and practice of group dynamics and processes. Includes ethical considerations, effective group leadership, and stages of group development. Also includes demonstration of group facilitation skills, clinical documentation, co-facilitation strategies, reflective practitioner techniques, and group formation. (Prerequisite: 10-550-206, Intro to Interview. & Counsel)

Hardware 1

3 cr.

Learners will be introduced to installing, troubleshooting, and configuring: computing basics, PC Technician Responsibilities, hardware components, operating systems Basics, storage media, system implementation, and system management tools.

Hardware 2

3 cr.

Learners will continue to enhance their skills through installing, troubleshooting, and configuring: hardware, software, system management tools, file management and permissions setup, configuring peripheral devices, overview networking fundamentals, mobile and smart devices, printing and printer setup, security and best practices. (Prerequisite: 10-154-150, Hardware 1)

Hazardous Materials Operations

0.6 cr.

Prepares the participant to be able to perform the minimum hazardous material incident operations associated with firefighting functions. Meets operational level competencies referenced in the JPRs in NFPA 1001, 4-1.1.

HazMat Awareness & Ops

1 cr.

This course examines characteristics relating to hazardous materials including problems of recognition and mitigation. Prepares students to Hazardous Materials Operations Level for certification. (Corequisites: 10-503-142, Fire Fighting Principles; OR Firefighter I State Certification)
