Echocardiography Foundations

1 cr.

10-526-251 ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY FOUNDATIONS... introduces cross sectional anatomy as it relates to Diagnostic Medical Sonography and correlating images from other imaging modalities. Learners are also introduced to a normal echocardiogram with basic 2-dimensional and doppler protocol. Practice scan sessions are included. (Corequisites: 10-526-222, Sonography Physics 2; 10-526-272, Cardiovascular Anatomy and Physiology)

Economics

3 cr.

This course is designed to give an overview of how a market-oriented economic system operates, and it surveys the factors which influence national economic policy. Basic concepts and analyses are illustrated by reference to a variety of contemporary problems and public policy issues. Concepts include scarcity, resources, alternative economic systems, growth, supply and demand, monetary and fiscal policy, inflation, unemployment and global economic issues. (Prerequisite: GPA greater/equal to 2.6; OR Next Gen Rdg score greater/equal to 250 AND Writing score greater/equal to 237; OR ACT Rdg score greater/equal to 15 AND English greater/equal to 15; OR 10-831-107, College Reading and Writing with a B or better.)

EDM and Waterjet Machining

1 cr.

Learners will demonstrate and practice wire electrical discharge machining (EDM), RAM EDM, high speed EDM drilling, and abrasive waterjet cutting technologies. (Corequisite: 32-420-323 CAM Programming)

EDU: Behavior Management

3 cr.

Students analyze the behavior of students in educational settings. Emphasis will be given to examining the influences on behavior and creating proactive learning environments through behavioral interventions and support. Students will evaluate strategies for creating a safe and supportive classroom.

EDU: Child & Adol Dev

3 cr.

Students will analyze the physical, cognitive and social-emotional development of children with an emphasis on school age children and adolescents. Students will examine environmental factors that influence child development. Developmental theories will be summarized and related to current teaching practices.
