Founded in 1912, Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) is a nationally-recognized, two-year public college, serving more than 21,100 individuals annually.

How successful are NWTC graduates?

In 2024, 2,395 students graduated from the College, joining more than 70,000 NWTC alumni who are valued for their expertise and contributions to their communities.  

2024 Graduate Outcomes

  • 92% were employed; 76.6% of those grads are employed in their career field. 
  • 62% work in the NWTC district. 
  • 81% work in the state. 
  • 96% are satisfied very satisfied or satisfied with the training.
  • $52.250 – median annual salary of associate degree graduates.*

What recognitions has the College received?

Our College community has received many honors for excellence and leadership. 

  • Named a top 10 finalist for the 2025 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, the nation’s premier recognition of high performance among two-year colleges; invited to compete for the 2027 Aspen Prize
  • Selected to join the Unlocking Opportunity network, an Aspen Institute College Excellence initiative designed to reform community college programs in ways that improve student outcomes – ensuring students earn degrees that lead to good-paying jobs 
  • Recognized as a Tree Campus for effective urban forest management by the Arbor Foundation
  • Designated as a Center of Excellence for Domestic Maritime Workforce Training and Education by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration

Recently launched at NWTC:

  • Enhanced university transfer options through the new Academic, Career, and Transfer Center – showcasing strong partners, like UW-Green Bay, and new partners such as UW-Platteville for engineering.

  • New Dental Extended Reality Lab – preparing students for real-world care with augmented reality, virtual reality, and other simulation technologies.

  • Six new academic colleges, resulting from a yearlong restructuring of the Academic Affairs and Workforce Development Division – creating stronger pathways into and out of the College, ensuring post-graduate success, and fostering vibrant communities.

‘A full-circle experience’

Delilah Rose, who grew up in Door County, is currently serving the area as a sworn reserve deputy with the Door County Sheriff’s Department. “NWTC prepares students to serve with purpose, to understand their communities, and to step into the field with confidence,” she said.

Throughout Northeast Wisconsin, NWTC locations include:

  • Three main campuses
  • Five regional centers
  • Additional specialty centers


NWTC’s district includes all of Door, Florence, Kewaunee, Marinette, and Oconto counties; all but a small sliver of Brown county; the eastern half of Shawano county; and a very small part of Outagamie and Manitowoc counties.
