Utility Preview Day

Explore Gas Utility and Electrical Power Distribution careers to see if they are right for you!  Learn about installing, maintaining, and operating electrical systems (Electrical Power Distribution) and natural and propane gas distribution systems (Gas Utility Construction & Service) for residential, commercial, and industrial customers. You will then go to the Utility Education Field where current students will help you climb a pole, fuse a pipe, operate a backhoe, and ride in a bucket truck.

Industry representatives, academic advisors, current program students, and instructors will be available to answer your questions.  

You will be outside for part of the event, please dress appropriately for the weather.  Wear long pants and sturdy shoes (no tennis shoes or sandals). 

Pre-registration is necessary in either class #84589, 8-11:30 a.m., or class #84590, 1-4:30 p.m.
