Are you a high school senior in the NWTC District? Do you want free tuition at NWTC? If you answered "yes" and "yes," you need to check out the new NWTC Promise Scholarship.

NWTC Promise pays the balance of tuition and course fees for eligible students and provides a $100 book voucher each semester. Pretty awesome, right?

You might be thinking, "Me, apply to a scholarship? Why bother?" Or, "Am I even eligible?"

I talked to Stephanie Feucht, NWTC Financial Aid assistant director, and Frankie Destache, Financial Aid advisor, one recent morning at the Buzz. They understand that high school seniors are busy and may not think it's worth their time to apply. But Stephanie and Frankie want you to know one thing. Just apply - it takes less than a minute.

Less than a minute to complete the application? What do you have to lose?!

You can learn more about the NWTC Promise Scholarship on the Promise webpage. That's where you'll find the application, eligibility requirements, and more. If you check out the info and still wonder if you're eligible for the scholarship, think about the words of Stephanie and Frankie - just apply! You wouldn't want to miss out on an opportunity that could help you go to NWTC tuition-free, right?

The NWTC Promise Scholarship is just one of the many ways that can help make college affordable. Go to www.nwtc.edu/PayingforCollege to learn more.
