Building Estimating

2 cr.

Applies mathematics and the knowledge of building materials to the art of blueprint interpretation. Residential and commercial construction plans will be referenced. Manual and computerized methods will be employed to complete material quantity surveys. (Prerequisites: 10-614-219, Architectural Residential; 10-614-232, Structural Residential)

Building Sustainability 1

1 cr.

Investigates basic sustainable design theories and rating systems. The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building rating system will be applied to a residential building design. (Prerequisite: Acceptance in Architectural Technology program or into the Fundamentals of Architecture certificate.)

Bus Mgmt Career Experience

2 cr.

Students can select any hands on experience related to: Internship, Field Research, Service Learning, Capstone, Industry Related or International Experience. Instructor approval required. (Prerequisite: 10-105-103, Career Fundamentals)

Business Analyst Essentials

1 cr.

A foundational understanding of business analysis, the key concepts within the skills needed, and the underlying competencies of a business analyst.

Business Ethics

10-196-199 BUSINESS ETHICS ...learn organizational standards, principles, moral and ethical behaviors and challenges, leading to the creation of values and norms that govern the actions and behavior of individuals within business organizations.

Business Finance/Budgeting

3 cr.

Fiscal and monetary aspects of business. Each learner will demonstrate application of business types, cycles, forecasting, budgeting, expense control, and financial statement interpretation relevant to the supervisor as a non-accountant. (Prerequisite: 10-804-134, Mathematical Reasoning)

Business Grammar & Proofreading

10-106-131 BUSINESS GRAMMAR &PROOFREADING ...Develop grammar and proofreading skills to communicate professionally in writing. Focuses on the development of grammar, word usage, and punctuation, in order to compose and edit error-free business documents.

Business Law

3 cr.

Broad overview of the US legal system. Learn how laws govern the relationship between people and companies. Topics include criminal law and torts, sales contracts, agency, corporations, human resource law, etc.

Business Principles

3 cr.

Explore the business environment; global business; ethics and social responsibility; types of business ownership; entrepreneurship; role of management: operations management; human resources; marketing; managing financial resources and legal issues impacting business.

Business Simulation

2 cr.

A hands-on decision making experience in the management of a simulated business. Students will use a balance scorecard and other business reports to make decisions in a simulated business environment. (Prerequisite: 10-102-168, Operations Management)

CAD-Auxiliary and Flat Pattern

2 cr.

Primary and successive auxiliary views, 2D flat pattern developments. (Prerequisite: 10-606-211, Mech AutoCAD Fund)

Calc Physics 1 Enhancement

1 cr.

10-806-158 CALC PHYSICS 1 ENHANCEMENT ...mathematical enhancement transforming General Physics 1 (4 cr) into Calc-based Physics 1 (5 cr). Topics include deriving fundamental kinematic equations, time-and position-varying forces, impulse, work, rotational motion, moments of inertia, simple-harmonic motion, thermodynamics. (Prerequisite: A 4-credit, Algebra-based Physics course containing mechanics and Calculus 1 at your college. Please check with your primary college for more information.)
