Topics include deriving fundamental kinematic equations, time-and position-varying forces, impulse, work, rotational motion, moments of inertia, simple-harmonic motion, thermodynamics. (Prerequisite: A 4-credit, Algebra-based Physics course containing mechanics and Calculus 1 at your college. Please check with your primary college for more information.)

10-806-168 CALC PHYSICS 2 ENHANCEMENT ...mathematical enhancement transforming General Physics 2 (4cr) into Calc-based Physics 2 (5cr). Topics include derivations of work, potential energy, field strength and capacitor charges in circuits, with emphasis on Gauss's and Ampere's Laws and Maxwell Equations. (Prerequisite: General Physics 2 (10806164) with "C" or better and Calculus 1 (10804198) with "C" or better.)

10-804-198 CALCULUS 1 ...analyze and graph algebraic expressions, especially conic sections. Develop an intuitive understanding of limits, derivatives and integrals. Apply the derivative and the integral to certain physical problems. 10-804-181 CALCULUS 2 ...a continuation of Calculus 1 (10804198) and an introduction to integral calculus. Topics included in this course are integration methods and techniques including integration by parts and partial fractions, indeterminate forms, improper integrals. Topics also covered are infinite sequences and series including MacLaurin and Taylor Series and their convergence, LÆHopitalÆs Rule, applications of differentiation and integration, conic sections, parametric equations, polar coordinates along with vector operations in three dimensions. Cell and Molecular Biology

10-506-159 CELL AND MOLECULAR BIOLOGY ...introduces cell and molecular biology concepts and principles. Emphasis is on cell structure and function, genetics control and function, membrane transport and trafficking, cell division, evolution, and cellular energetics.
