PowerShell for Cybersecurity
An introduction to PowerShell syntax, scripting, and logic. Students will learn how it can be used to automate tasks for cybersecurity specialists. (Prerequisites: 10-150-200 Cisco Intro and 10-150-177 Windows Client Essentials both with a "C" or better.)
PowerShell Intermediate
Introduction to PowerShell concepts and how it is used for managing Microsoft networks; develop fundamental understanding of Windows management through the use of native cmdlets, programming logic, and script development. (Prerequisite: 10-150-191, PowerShell Intro)

Develop fundamental knowledge of the language, editors, and logic. (Prerequisites: 10-150-200 Cisco Intro and 10-150-177 Windows Client Essentials both with a "C" or better).
Practical GPS
10-607-159 PRACTICAL GPS ...develops the knowledge, skills, process, and understanding of how GPS is used on projects from project control to collecting topographical data for mapping. (Prerequisites: 10-607-158, GPS Fundamentals)
Pre-Algebra/8WK
In support of all courses for students who need a developmental math course in a non-STEM pathway. Pre-Algebra/8wks focuses on numeracy and arithmetic skills and foundations of planar and spatial geometry. Students will be able to begin applying these skills into real life situations and will learn skills that will make them successful math learners. (Prerequisite: GPA less than 2.6; OR Next Gen Arith score less/equal to 249 AND Rdg less/equal to 249; OR ACT Math less than 15 AND Rdg less than 15).
Precision Bending and Surface Finishing
31-457-358 PRECISION BENDING AND SURFACE FINISHING ...course provides the opportunity for the learner to develop and apply knowledge to utilize bend allowance formulas, calculate blank size, perform precision bending using CNC equipment, understand surface finishing requirements, utilize appropriate metal finishing tools to accomplish desired finish, and understand RA meters to accomplish desired finish, and understand RA meters to determine desired metal finish
Pressure Vessels and Piping Systems
31-457-357 PRESSURE VESSELS AND PIPING SYSTEMS ...course provides the opportunity for the learner to develop and apply knowledge towards the fabrication of pressure vessels and piping systems. Students will fabricate, weld, and assemble a final capstone project. (Prerequisite: 31-457-339, Metal Fabrication III; 31-421-337, Blueprint Reading for Welders 2)
Principles of Lean Operations
This course introduces students to lean principles in manufacturing and operations within a Just-In-Time (JIT) framework. Topics include productivity systems, quality management, statistical process control, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, value stream mapping, and production logistics. Emphasis is placed on continuous improvement tools and the integration of human resources in lean environments.
Principles of Sanitation
Food service sanitation principles of contamination/food borne illness with National Restaurant Association ServSafe Certification testing included. (Prerequisite: Acceptance in Culinary Specialist technical diploma or Culinary Management associate degree or Restaurant Management technical diploma or Hospitality Management associate degree or Baking & Pastry certificate).
Principles of Sustainability
10-806-112 PRINCIPLES OF SUSTAINABILITY ...prepares the student to develop sustainable literacy, analyze the interconnections among the physical and biological sciences and environmental systems, summarize the effects of sustainability on health and well-being, analyze connections among social, economic, and environmental systems, employ energy conservation strategies to reduce the use of fossil fuels, investigate alternative energy options, evaluate options to current waste disposal and recycling in the U.S., and analyze approaches used by your community to promote and implement sustainability. (Prerequisite: Next Gen Reading score greater/equal to 250; OR ACT Reading score greater/equal to 15; OR preparatory courses-contact an academic advisor at 920-498-5444)
Private Investigation Tactics
10-504-193 PRIVATE INVESTIGATION TACTICS ...private investigators are used by law firms, corporations, insurance companies and other public and private entities. This course covers the basics of locating individuals using open sources of information, ethical considerations for investigators, constitutional law application and current investigative practices as preparation for success as a private investigator, corporate and private security or insurance claim investigator. Includes lessons on developing a business and marketing plan and preparing for the Wisconsin Private Detective license exam.
Produce Safety & Organic Certification
This stand-alone course enables students to complete organic certification paperwork (an Organic Farm Plan). Students will be able to proceed with the steps needed to allow their garden or farm to become "Certified Organic." The course also helps producers understand GAP, (Good Agricultural Practices) requirements under the Food Safety Modernization Act. Students will be able to complete their own Food Safety Plan for their farm/garden by the end of the course.
