Linux Structure

2 cr.

An introductory look at the Linux operating system. Installation and configuration; boot up and login process; directory structure purpose/use; maneuvering in the Command Line Interface; understanding Long Directory Listings; Users and Groups; modifying permissions; service installation and management; and troubleshooting. Please be aware, this is a Linux administration course. We will start with and primarily use no GUI (Graphical User Interface). We will primarily be working in the command line. The emphasis of this course is creating a multi-user networked operating system. (Corequisite: 10-150-161, Linux Scripting; Prerequisite: 10-150-200, Cisco Intro with a "C" or better; 10-150-177, Windows Client Essentials with a "C" or better.)

Live Event Production

3 cr.

Setup and operation of location based live switching video production. Location workflow coordination of multiple camera and audio streams, teleprompter, media, crew, and floor management. Emphasis on group-based live video events utilizing multi-camera production.

Logistics/Supply Chain Management

3 cr.

Logistics supply chain, demand management and customer service, procurement and supply management, global logistics, manufacturing, inventory management, warehousing, transportation and third-party logistics.

LS/Paralegal Career Experience

2 cr.

Students can select any hands-on experience related to: Internship, Field Research, Service Learning, Simulations, Capstone, Industry Related or Study Abroad. Instructor approval required. (Prerequisite: 10-110-101, Paralegal Intro/Legal Ethics with a "C" or better; 10-801-136, English Composition 1; 10-105-103, Career Fundamentals)

Machine Fabrication 1

1 cr.

A study of joining processes including welding, brazing, soldering, mechanical fasteners and adhesives.

Machine Integrated Techniques

3 cr.

Application of machine fabrication techniques, automation products to manufacturing processes including PLC, drives, motors (Electric and Hydraulics), Sensors. (Prerequisites: 10-620-159, Power Electronics 3: Drives; 10-620-122, Mechanical Systems 2; 10-620-162, Power Electricity 2: Motors; 10-664-151, Automation 8: HMI; 10-664-162, Control 3: Motion Systems)

Machine Tool Processes 1

1 cr.

Will expose learners to equipment used in manufacturing for repair and maintenance. Learners will safely demonstrate the operations performed on presses, lathes and mills. Instruction on inspection techniques using semi-precision and precision measuring tools.

Machine Tool Processes 2

1 cr.

Equipment in manufacturing for repair and maintenance. Learn safe operation on presses, lathes, grinders and mills. Identify strategies and sequencing and material selection for machining. (Pre-requisite: 10-420-171, Machine Tool Processes 1)

Machine Tool/CNC Set-Ups

2 cr.

CNC mill and lathe-tool holder selection, loading and unloading tools, work holding, setting part zero, fixture offsets, setting length and dial offsets, boring bars, and bar feeding. (Prerequisite: Accepted into the CNC Machinist or CNC Technician program; Corequisites: 31-420-366, CNC/Machining Fundamentals 1)

Machine Wiring and Safety

1 cr.

Introduction to machine wiring, including basic documentation, labeling, and wiring practices; an overview of NFPA 79 machinery, safety and installation standards.

Making Decisions With Data

2 cr.

Introduction to the fundamental processes and methodologies of the emerging role of data driven decision-making in organizations. Drawing upon quantitative concepts, tools, and analyses from several disciplines, the learner will obtain skills necessary to demonstrate the usefulness of these tools and analyses in providing optimal technical options in decision-making situations. The emphasis of the course is on the interpretation of the results and subsequently present insights from which effective data driven decisions can be made to benefit internal and external consumers.

Managed Grazing

2 cr.

Examine pasture plants and livestock in a rotational grazing system. Build a fence. Evaluate watering systems, fertilizers, yields and environmental impacts. Meet experienced graziers. Create a grazing plan and budget.

Loading
