Business Law
Broad overview of the US legal system. Learn how laws govern the relationship between people and companies. Topics include criminal law and torts, sales contracts, agency, corporations, human resource law, etc.
Business Principles
Explore the business environment; global business; ethics and social responsibility; types of business ownership; entrepreneurship; role of management: operations management; human resources; marketing; managing financial resources and legal issues impacting business.
Business Simulation
A hands-on decision making experience in the management of a simulated business. Students will use a balance scorecard and other business reports to make decisions in a simulated business environment. (Prerequisite: 10-102-168, Operations Management)
CAD Architectural
Incorporates the use of AutoCAD for generating construction drawings. Basic to intermediate techniques will be employed. Accurate architectural drawings adhering to given standards that incorporate symbols, dimensions and notes will be created. (Prerequisite: Accepted in the Architectural Technology program or the Architecture Fundamentals Certificate)
CAD-Auxiliary and Flat Pattern
Primary and successive auxiliary views, 2D flat pattern developments. (Prerequisite: 10-606-211, Mech AutoCAD Fund)
Calc Physics 1 Enhancement
Mathematical enhancement transforming General Physics 1 (4 cr) into Calc-based Physics 1 (5 cr). Topics include deriving fundamental kinematic equations, time-and position-varying forces, impulse, work, rotational motion, moments of inertia, simple-harmonic motion, thermodynamics. (Prerequisite: A 4-credit, Algebra-based Physics course containing mechanics and Calculus 1 at your college. Please check with your primary college for more information.)
Calc Physics 2 Enhancement
Mathematical enhancement transforming General Physics 2 (4cr) into Calc-based Physics 2 (5cr). Topics include derivations of work, potential energy, field strength and capacitor charges in circuits, with emphasis on Gauss's and Ampere's Laws and Maxwell Equations. (Prerequisite: General Physics 2 (10806164) with "C" or better and Calculus 1 (10804198) with "C" or better.)
Calculus 1
Introduction to differential and integral calculus and plane analytic geometry; Limits, derivatives, and graphs of algebraic, trigonometric, exponential, and logarithmic functions; antiderivatives, the definite integral, and the fundamental theorem of calculus, with applications. (Prerequisite: Next Gen AAF score greater/equal to 276 AND Rdg greater/equal to 250; OR OR ACT Math score greater/equal to 28 AND ACT Rdg greater/equal to 16; OR C or better in College Algebra & Trig w/Apps-contact academic advisor 920-498-5444).
Calculus 2
A continuation of Calculus 1 (10804198) and an introduction to integral calculus. Topics included in this course are integration methods and techniques including integration by parts and partial fractions, indeterminate forms, improper integrals. Topics also covered are infinite sequences and series including MacLaurin and Taylor Series and their convergence, L'Hôpital's Rule, applications of differentiation and integration, conic sections, parametric equations, polar coordinates along with vector operations in three dimensions. (Prerequisite: 10-804-198, Calculus I with a "C" or better)
CAM Programming
This course provides the opportunity for the student to develop the knowledge, skills, process and understanding to Create three dimensional drawings for CNC Milling Toolpaths, Apply CNC Toolpaths to three-dimensional CAD/CAM drawings, Create 3D Surface models in CAD/CAM software for 3D surface CNC toolpaths, Apply CNC toolpaths to 3D CAD/CAM surface models. (Prerequisite: 31-420-364, G-Code & CAM)
Cams & Gears
Introduces the concept of transmitting motion from one rotating shaft to another by the use and study of gear, belt, and chain drives. Students will also learn to identify different gear, belt, and chain types and the best application for each along with calculating gear train values. Also covered will be Cam design using a 3D modeler program, including identifying the characteristics and displacements of different motion types via different motion schemes, as well as constructing displacement diagrams of various motion schemes. (Prerequisites: 10-606-145, Kinematics)
Cardiovascular Anat & Phys
Continues the study of the human heart in cross-sectional planes and as a three-dimensional anatomical structure with mechanical and hemodynamic characteristics. Learners will explore cardiac development and put into practice basic and advanced cardiovascular physiology concepts. (Prerequisites: Acceptance in the Echocardiography program and/or permission of program faculty; 10-806-179, Advanced Anatomy and Physiology)
