Monday August 13, 2018 Fun is in session inside the weld shop at NWTC. Nine 12 to 14 year-old kids spent a week learning how to weld and fabricate metal. It is all part of Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs Camp sponsored by NWTC and the Fabricators and Manufactures Association. Each student made bird feeders and shepherd's hooks. The camp is a successful way of introducing middle- and high-school students to the fascinating, high-tech career choices available to them in today’s automated manufacturing industry.
