T&ET students travel to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico for a global professional experience. While in Mexico, you will learn about the educational system, engage with Universidad Politecnica de Guanajuato (UPG) students, tour local industries, attend lectures from UPG professors, and explore the region’s cultural sites.
UPG is an engineering university located about an hour from San Miguel de Allende. The university offers several of the high-demand career opportunities students require for the current labor market. The engineering degrees offered are robotics, agro-industrial, automotive design, process manufacturing, logistics and transportation, energy, biotechnology, and metrology and quality.
While in San Miguel de Allende, you will learn about the educational system, engage with Universidad Politecnica de Guanajuato (UPG) students, tour local industries, attend lectures from UPG professors, and explore the region’s cultural sites.
The study abroad experience aligns with NWTC Employability Skills; in particular, "value individual differences and abilities", and "demonstrate community and global accountability".
$2,000 is the estimated program cost and includes:
Students will receive 3 credits upon successful completion of the capstone course.
All credit opportunities are optional.
