Metal Fabrication III (Advanced Assembly)

31-457-339 METAL FABRICATION III (ADVANCED ASSEMBLY) ...course provides the opportunity for the learner to develop the knowledge, skills, process and understanding of building projects from advanced blueprints using all fabrication equipment and welding processes. (Prerequisites: 31-457-337, Metal Fabrication I; 31-457-338, Metal Fabrication II)

31-422-359 METALLURGY AND CUTTING TOOLS ...this course provides the opportunity for the learner to develop the knowledge, skills, and understanding of the manufacture of iron and steel, metals identification, and applied heat-treating processes, as well as cutting tool materials, tool geometry, and selection of proper speed and feed.

Micro 4: Advanced Interfacing

1 cr.

Writing rituals for switches, LEDs, LCDs, ADCs, keypads, stepper motors, DC motors, and infrared LEDs and the continued use of simulation software. (Prerequisite: 10-605-165, Micro 3: Interfaces)

Microbiology

4 cr.

10-806-197 MICROBIOLOGY ...history, morphology, physiology, nutritional growth requirements, metabolism, methods of identification. Focus on disease-causing microorganisms, appropriate prevention, treatment, control mechanisms. Specific/non-specific host defense mechanisms, applications of immunology examined. (Prerequisite: 10-806-177, General Anatomy & Physiology OR 10-806-114, General Biology with a "C" or better. Health programs may require a higher grade; refer to your plan for details)

Microprocessors 1: Introduction

1 cr.

Use of simulation software, fundamentals of C language programming, basic logic and control, analog and digital inputs, flowcharting, motor control, objects, and PWM techniques. (Pre-requisite: 10-660-105, DC 2: Circuits; 10-660-103 Digital 3: Registers; or Instructor Approval)

Microprocessors 2: Technique

1 cr.

Bitwise operations, pseudo-ops, more C programming techniques, LCD display, control logic, and continued use of simulation software. (Prerequisite: 10-605-163, Micro 1: Intro)

Microprocessors 3: Interfaces

1 cr.

More C language programming for arrays, logic and control, scaling, input and output, software standards, and continued use of simulation software. (Prerequisite: 10-605-164, Micro 2: Technique)

Microsoft Endpoint Administration

3 cr.

In this course, students will learn to plan and execute an endpoint deployment strategy using contemporary deployment techniques and implementing update strategies. The course introduces essential elements of modern management and Microsoft Intune integration. It covers app deployment, management of browser-based applications, and key security concepts such as authentication, identities, access, and compliance policies. (Prerequisite: 10-150-205: Microsoft Server Intermediate)

Microsoft Identity and Access Administration

2 cr.

This course explores how to design, implement, and operate an organization’s identity and access management systems by using Microsoft Entra ID. Students will learn to manage tasks such as providing secure authentication and authorization access to enterprise applications. (Prerequisite: 10-150-205, Microsoft Server Intermediate)

Microsoft Security Fundamentals

2 cr.

This course provides the learner the opportunity to build an understanding of security layers; authentication, authorization and accounting through VPN technologies; network security policies; operating system hardening, patch management and endpoint security, network application security; security reporting and auditing using PowerShell as well as other software tools. (Prerequisite: 10-150-205, Microsoft Server Intermediate; 10-151-105, PowerShell for Cybersecurity; 10-150-201, Cisco Intermediate)

Microsoft Server Advanced

3 cr.

This course teaches students to configure advanced Windows Server services using on-premises, hybrid, and cloud technologies. Students will learn how to leverage the hybrid capabilities of Azure, how to migrate virtual and physical server workloads to Azure IaaS, and how to secure Azure VMs running Windows Server. (Prerequisites: 10-150-205, Microsoft Server Intermediate & 10-150-192, PowerShell Intermediate.)
