DMS Fundamentals of Scanning

10-526-232 DMS FUNDAMENTALS OF SCANNING ...introduces cross sectional anatomy as it relates to Diagnostic Medical Sonography along with physics principals. Learners are introduced to the basics of general scanning to include operation of equipment, scanning techniques, and organ/vessel identification. (Prerequisites: Accepted into the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program; 10-526-221, Sonography Physics 1; 10-806-179, Adv. Anatomy & Physiology)

Driveline Diagnostics and Repair

Develop the skills needed to diagnose, service, and repair driveshaft/axles, differentials, and four wheel drive/all-wheel drive systems. (Corequisites: 10-602-130, Clutch & Manual Transmission)

Driver/Operator Aerial-Certified

0.9 cr.

Types and construction of aerial apparatus including inspecting, testing, driving, tillering, positioning, stabilizing, operating telescoping, strategy and tactics of aerial apparatus.

Driver/Operator Pumper-Certified

1.65 cr.

Types of fire pump equipped apparatus-inspection, maintenance, water supply, systems, fire hose nozzles, flow rates, pressure and hydraulic calculations, relay pumping operations, foam equipment and systems.

ECE: Capstone Administrative Seminar

3 cr.

Culminating experience in the credential course sequence. Individual projects are required with a focus on the integration of program aspects in developing strategic planning for change. ECE: Child Development

This 3-credit course examines child development within the context of the early childhood education setting. This course focuses on children ages 3-8 years of age.

ECE: Children w Diff Abilities

3 cr.

This 3-credit course focuses on the child with differing abilities in an inclusive early childhood education setting while examining strategies for cultivating partnerships with families and community supports for children from birth to 8 years of age.

ECE: Early Language & Literacy

3 cr.

This 3-credit course explores strategies to encourage the development of early language and literacy knowledge and skill building in children birth to 8 years of age. (Prerequisite: 10-307-110 ECE: Social Studies, Art, Music and 10-307-179 ECE: Child Development)

ECE: Early Learning Standards

1 cr.

Enhances the student's ability to analyze the guiding principles and the five developmental domains related to the WI Early Learning Standards, apply the W.M.E.L.S. to various developmentally appropriate curriculum models, activities and assessments, integrate the WI Early Learning Standards into the program's teaching cycle (ongoing assessment, planning and curriculum goals, and implementation).
