Wood Studio

The NWTC Artisan Center’s Wood Studio began in 2011 with premier woodturning lathes and classes. The classroom set of Powermatic lathes and Delta lathes along with the gouges, dust collection, sharpening tools, and so much more set this wood studio apart from most. Classes focus on the fundamentals of turning through advanced turning techniques – everything from bowls and vessels to fine-turned spindles including finishing techniques. Specialty workshops include segmented turning and pen turning. The Wood Studio also includes classes featuring woodburning.

With a variety of impressive instructors, engaging classes and workshops, as well as open studio time – the Wood Studio has something for everyone.

In addition to the non-credit community classes, NWTC also offers an accredited certificate program in the woodturning studio.
