Jeremy Galica, Veterans Advisor

Jeremy Galica is the Veterans Advisor. Jeremy is here to assist you with the enrollment process, and to ensure that you have access to the resources necessary to support your academic success at NWTC. In addition to answering questions about campus based services, Jeremy can also provide information on community based outreach programs that you and your dependents may have access to.

Jeremy has been enlisted in the military for over 15 years and is currently a Sergeant First Class in the US Army Reserve.

He was born and raised in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. After graduating from Oshkosh West, he enlisted into the Army, beginning his journey at Fort Benning, Georgia. It was there that he completed both Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training (AIT) as an infantryman. From there, he spent four years on active duty, concluding with the 1/327th Infantry at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. During this time, he also spent about a year overseas assigned to the 5/87th Infantry at Fort Kobbe, Panama.

One of the highlights of Jeremy’s military career was serving as a Cavalry Scout Instructor at Fort Knox, Kentucky. This allowed Jeremy to share his knowledge and mentor young soldiers, something he enjoyed very much. Some of Jeremy’s awards include two Army Achievement Medals, an Army Commendation Medal, the German Armed Forces Gold Medal Award for military skills and proficiency, and the Air Assault Badge.

While living in Kentucky, he pursued a college degree earning his Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice from Eastern Kentucky University. Further training included the Correctional Officer Certification Course, which he completed at NWTC.
