College of Business instructor Kim Pigeon was recognized by X-Culture with the Global Educator Award, for leading high-impact, international experiential learning exercises for NWTC students.


In 2021, 6,288 students from 140 institutions and 59 countries participated in research projects to develop business proposals for companies partnered with X-Culture. Of these participants, 15 came from Pigeon’s class, working in global virtual teams to solve real industry problems.


Pigeon was recommended for the award by X-Culture Coordinator Dr. Vasyl Taras who described Pigeon as an “innovative and inspiring educator” and acknowledged her “interest and time investment, intellectual contributions, positive impressions, and diligent work.”
