NWTC Announces New VP of Business & Technology

Northeast Wisconsin Technical College appoints Daniel Mincheff to the new position of vice president of business & technology.

Mincheff will lead the College’s development and innovation of IT systems as well as strategic business initiatives. Mincheff will oversee areas of finance, information and instructional technology, facilities, safety and security, purchasing and the college’s bookstore. This new role will merge the former positions of vice president of business and finance with chief information officer.

“This merger of departments will produce efficiencies, but also provide opportunities for new and creative synergies,” said Dr. Rafn, NWTC president. “Dan’s strong leadership and collaboration will continue to be an invaluable asset as our college continues to evolve to meet the needs of our students and communities.”

Since 2017, Mincheff served as NWTC’s chief information officer, with his division leading instructional technology, enterprise applications, infrastructure services and client services. Some of the initiatives during his tenure include:

• Create a distinctive focus on Industry 4.0 for NWTC.
• Establish new partnerships with global organizations to provide new advanced resources and access for the College.
• Gain entry into HP and Educause’s Campus of the Future cohort, making NWTC one of the first Technical Colleges to be included, along side an array of world class research institutions.

Mincheff has more than 25 years of experience as an IT leader and 15 years as a senior leader in higher education. Before joining NWTC in 2017, Mincheff worked with a number of colleges and universities as an employee of Ellucian. Mincheff has a Master’s degree in organizational development from Silver Lake College and a Bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
