As long as you meet the prerequisites, NWTC offers a variety of courses you can take as early as 16!  These are real college classes taught by industry experts, giving you a head start and a taste of college life. Prefer the classroom feel? Many local high schools offer Transcribed Credit (dual credit) courses, which are NWTC college courses taught right at your local high school! Earn both high school and college credit at once (just make sure to ace those exams with a C or better!). Plus, these credits can be transferred to any technical college in Wisconsin as well as many four-year universities.

DPI Guidelines: The part-time attendance law, s.118.53, Wis. Stats., allows homeschooled students to attend a public school on a part-time basis. A school district is required, space permitting, to allow pupils who are enrolled in a homeschool program to take up to two courses per semester at any public school. Students must satisfy the minimum standards for admission to a course offered by the school district. To register for courses, please contact the school district office you are interested in attending.
