Congratulations on your acceptance to NWTC! Let’s make sure we have everything ready, so you have a smooth start to your semester!

Step 1: Complete SOAR Online

Before you can register for classes, you must complete the required Student Orientation and Registration (SOAR) Online session.  SOAR will answer common questions and help you get ready to register. Watch your email for your SOAR online access link.  SOAR online access links are emailed when class registration opens.

Registration typically opens:

  • Fall & Summer:  April
  • Spring:   November

Step 2: Register for Classes

Once class registration opens, you can:

Watch your NWTC email for information and sign-up details for registration sessions.

Step 3: Set up your NWTC Email

Your NWTC email is the primary way the college will communicate with you.  Be sure to set it up and check it a least once a week.  You will recieve important inforamtion about:

  • Registraiton and enrollment steps
  • Financial aid and billing
  • Class announcement

Step 4: Attend Program Orientation

Some programs offer a Program Orientation before classes begin.  This orientation is different from the required SOAR onlien session and provides program-specific information.  

During orienation, you may:

  • Tour campus
  • Locate your classrooms
  • Meet program faculty and staff
  • Learn what to expect in your program

Watch your NWTC email as the semester approaches for orientation details.   Orientation is typically held:

  • Summer: May & June. 
  • Fall: August.
  • Spring: January
