Scholarships Need money for college? Apply for scholarships!
Scholarships can help pay for school costs, such as tuition, books, and supplies. Each year, NWTC gives out over $1 million in funds. This is made possible by the NWTC Foundation and hundreds of donors who believe in the power of an NWTC education.
NWTC Scholarship Opportunities
Foundation General Scholarships
Each year, NWTC awards hundreds of scholarships to incoming and enrolled students. Awards may be based on merit, financial need, or other criteria.
Application Periods:
- Fall Semester: March 1 – April 30
- Spring Semester: October 1 – November 5
Student Emergency Fund
Short-term financial help for unexpected, urgent expenses so you can stay in school. (Cannot be used for tuition.)
Application Periods:
- Fall Semester: August 26 – December 15
- Spring Semester: January 15 – May 15
- Summer Semester: June 1 – July 15
College is Possible Scholarships
Help with tuition, books, and program fees for students at risk of dropping out due to financial hardship.
Application Periods:
- Fall Semester: August 26 – November 30
- Spring Semester: January 15 – April 30
- Summer Semester: June 1 – June 30
Tip: Other scholarship opportunities may open throughout the year. Check your “My Applications” page in the Student Portal regularly to see new matches.
External and Private Donor Scholarships
The NWTC Foundation is often notified of scholarship opportunities from local, regional, and national organizations. These scholarships:
- Are not connected to NWTC or the NWTC Foundation
- Have their own application processes and deadlines
- May have unique selection criteria
