Non-Probate Assets

Non-probate assets such as an IRA, 401(k), or life-insurance policy are not included in your will and you must plan for them separately. You can designate Northeast Wisconsin Technical College as a beneficiary of these types of assets to positively transform students’ lives for years to come. Planning a charitable gift to the NWTC Educational Foundation via your retirement or life insurance policies will extend your legacy beyond your lifetime, protect your loved ones, and reduce your taxes. Talk with your financial advisor about strategies to create a named scholarship to support students.

This free online tool will provide you step-by-step instructions on how to plan your beneficiaries.

Named Scholarships

Establish a named scholarship with criteria that is meaningful to you. Create an annual named scholarship with minimum investment of $500, or create a lasting legacy by setting up a named scholarship endowment. An endowment is a permanent fund in which your gift is invested, and earnings fund annual scholarships (approximately five percent annually).

In addition to the satisfaction of establishing an everlasting scholarship that will support students for years to come, your business or family will receive permanent signage recognition at NWTC.
