What will I learn?

  1. Calculate hydrostatic presssure
  2. Apply concepts of continuity of flow to closed piping system problems
  3. Apply concepts of conservation of energy to closed piping system problems
  4. Solve closed piping system problems using the Hazen-Williams formula and nomograph
  5. Solve problems related to gravity flow in pipes and other sections using Manning's equation
  6. Apply concepts of hydraulics to sewer design
  7. Summarize parameters considered in water quality
  8. Solve problems related to wastewater treatment
  9. Solve rainfall problems including depth, volume, intensity, and frequency
  10. Apply concepts of reservoir design in determining reservoir yield and volume
