Course Description

10-526-191 RADIOGRAPHIC PROCEDURES 2 ...prepares radiography students to perform routine radiologic procedures on various parts of the body including the skull, spine, and gastrointestinal systems. Students apply knowledge of human anatomy to position the patient correctly to achieve the desired result. (Prerequisites: Enrolled in Radiography program; 10-526-149, Radiographic Procedures 1; 10-806-177, General Anatomy & Physiology w/ B or better)

  1. Perform radiologic procedures of the skull, facial bones, and sinuses
  2. Identify radiographically significant anatomy of the skull, facial bones, and sinuses
  3. Evaluate radiographic skull, facial bones, and sinus image quality

  5. Identify radiographically significant spinal anatomy

  17. Describe mobile radiographic and fluoroscopic imaging procedures
  18. Demonstrate venipuncture
