10-524-139 PTA PATIENT INTERVENTIONS...an introduction to basic skills and physical therapy interventions performed by the physical therapist assistant. (Prerequisite: Admission to the Physical Therapist Assistant program; 10-806-177, General Anatomy & Physiology)

  8. Instruct patient in wheelchair management skills
  9. Perform vital signs measurements
  10. Apply body mechanics principles
  11. Apply superficial heating agents
  12. Apply cryotherapy interventions
  13. Apply soft tissue mobilization techniques
  14. Establish therapeutic relationship
