10-601-127 HVAC/R CONTROL CIRCUITS ...relay and HVAC/R electrical control circuit schematic development and analysis; wiring, testing and troubleshooting relay and HVAC/R control circuits; diagnose common HVAC/R system problems by analyzing the control circuit. (Prerequisites: 10-601-111, HVAC/R Electrical Fundamentals)

- Troubleshoot HVAC/R control transformers.
- Explain the operation of HVAC/R control relays.
- Troubleshoot HVAC/R control relays using an ohmmeter.
- Draw schematic/ladder diagrams of relay switching circuits from a sequence of operation.
- Wire relay switching circuits using the NWTC relay circuit boards.
- Write the sequence of operation of relay switching schematics.
- Troubleshoot live relay switching circuits using the NWTC relay circuit boards.
- Explain the methods used to control HVAC/R systems.
- Use a line voltage thermostat in basic refrigeration circuits.
- Use refrigeration pressure switches in basic refrigeration circuits.
- Expalin the operation of electro-mechanical low voltage thermostats.
- Wire an electro-mechanical low voltage heating/cooling circuit on the NWTC HVAC boards.
- Troubleshoot an electro-mechanical low voltage heating/cooling circuit on the NWTC HVAC boards.
