10-601-212 HVAC ELECTRICITY 2...lockout-tagout procedures and electrical safety, introduction and troubleshooting of basic HVAC electromechanical components. (Prerequisite: 10-601-211 HVAC Electricity 1)

  1. Demonstrate electrical safety processes for HVAC equipment.
  2. Analyze electrical panel distribution strategies.
  3. Explain expectations of proper HVAC electrical installation.
  4. Analyze the operation of a typical HVAC control thermostat.
  5. Analyze the operation of typical HVAC control components.
  6. Troubleshoot typical HVAC control components using an ohmmeter.
  7. Review hopscotch troubleshooting on a basic live electrical circuit.
