10-526-213 DMS CLINICAL EXPERIENCE 2 ...further experience in a clinical setting allows the student to continue to improve technical skills while accepting more responsibilities during scanning procedures. (Prerequisite: 10-526-209, DMS Clinical Experience 1)

What will I learn?

  1. Perform patient care with assistance
  2. Transport patients with supervision
  3. Transfer patients with supervision
  4. Complete required patient documentation with assistance
  5. Participate as a member of the healthcare team with assistance
  6. Adhere to the sonographers code of ethics with supervision
  7. Perform image critique with assistance
  8. Complete an aortic ultrasound exam with assistance
  9. Complete a renal ultrasound exam with assistance
  10. Complete a limited abdominal examination with assistance
  11. Complete an endovaginal nongravid pelvis scan with continuous guidance
  12. Perform a transabdominal ultrasound of the nongravid female pelvis with continuous guidance
  13. Complete a trans-abdominal nongravid pelvis scan with continuous guidance
  14. Complete a complete abdominal scan with continuous guidance
  15. Complete scans of superficial structures with continuous guidance
