10-520-104 ADVOCACY OF SPECIAL POPULATIONS ...This course examines the core principles of advocacy and case management within the human services field. Students will explore a range of populations commonly served in human services settings and the unique challenges these populations face. Emphasis is placed on comparing and contrasting advocacy and case management approaches tailored to specific population needs. Students will also examine the role of protective rights and laws, as well as funding sources and community resources that support effective service delivery. (Prerequisite: 10-520-105, Community Systems and Resource Navigation OR accepted into the Justice & Community Advocacy program.)
