10-601-135 HVAC/R HYDRONIC SYSTEM APPLICATIONS ...hydronic fundamentals, piping systems, pipe sizing, boiler applications, system design fundamentals, system piping installation for conventional systems, radiant systems, and forced air systems, system component operation, selection service and troubleshooting. (Prerequisite: 10-601-131, HVAC/R Heating Systems Applications)

What will I learn?

  1. Analyze the design and operational characteristics of the various types of hydronic piping systems
  2. Describe the application of hydronic piping, fittings, and valves
  3. Design a hydronic piping system for a residential/light commercial application
  4. Install a hydronic piping system in the HVACR lab
  5. Apply pneumatic proportional control terms in basic control applications
  6. Determine the proper control action for basic control applications
  7. Analyze the operational differences of the various types of control systems
  8. Design a pneumatic air supply system utilizing proper design guidelines for a control application
  9. Set up a properly designed control damper application using manufacturers control literature
  10. Select control valves for control applications using manufacturers control literature
  11. Calibrate pneumatic thermostats using manufacturers control literature
  12. Calibrate unitary and relay bulb type pneumatic controllers in a control application
  13. Calibrate room and duct humidity controllers in an HVACR application
  14. Calibrate pneumatic relay controls in a basic control application
  15. Select the proper pneumatic transmitter for a control application
  16. Calibrate receiver controllers for basic control applications
  17. Calibrate a pneumatic volume controller for a variable air volume system
  18. Design a basic pneumatic control system for basic control applications
