10-550-170 UNDERSTANDING SUBSTANCE ABUSE ...Understanding Substance Abuse is a course that provides the opportunity for the learner to investigate the use of drugs and the role drugs of abuse play in our society. Define use, misuse, abuse, and addiction. Identify the different classes of drugs and understanding the effect drugs have on the physical and psychological health of people. Learners will analyze the various drug subcultures. Discuss impact of mental health on SUDs. Apply reflective practitioner techniques.
