Course Description

10-546-102 CHRONIC DISEASES & HEALTH ISSUES ...addresses the incidence and cost of chronic diseases and other modern health issues. Study the four major causes of chronic disease (lack of physical activity, poor nutrition, tobacco use, and excessive alcohol consumption). Emphasis is placed on the signs, symptoms, prevention and management of these disorders and health issues through behavior change and lifestyle wellness. (Prerequisite: Accepted in the Wellness & Health Promotion program)
