Artisan Center Scholarships
Big news: our scholarship program just got a major upgrade.
To increase access to hands-on, arts-focused education in our community, the NWTC Artisan and Business Center is moving to a rolling scholarship model.
Instead of one application cycle or long wait periods, individuals may now submit a scholarship application throughout the year for eligible classes and workshops.
Applications are reviewed using a standardized rubric and considered based on factors such as financial need, educational goals, and available funding. If selected, recipients will receive a discount code that reduces their registration cost to $0, allowing them to self-register for their approved class or workshop.
This change helps us reduce financial barriers, welcome more learners into our studios, and make creative education more accessible year-round.
More about Artisan Center Scholarships
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
At NWTC, we believe everyone has worth. We are not limited to age, gender, social status, sexual orientation, and religion. We are unified in dignity and diversity. We believe everyone — no mater where they are in their personal and professional journeys — can dream big and rise above their current places. We believe everyone can soar higher. For special accommodations or questions about accessibility, contact Artisan.Center@nwtc.edu.
What the Scholarship Covers
Approved scholarships provide a discount code that reduces the registration cost of an eligible Artisan Center class or workshop to $0.
Scholarships apply to select noncredit classes and workshops offered through the NWTC Artisan and Business Center. Availability may vary based on funding and program capacity.
Scholarships do not include:
- transportation,
- supplies unless otherwise noted,
- optional materials fees,
- or memberships/open studio access.
Application Guidelines:
- Applications must be completed and submitted in one sitting. The application system does not allow applicants to save progress and return later.
- The application form may time out if left open for an extended period of time.
- Applicants are encouraged to draft longer responses in a separate document and copy/paste them into the application form.
- Applications cannot be edited after submission.
- Scholarship funding is limited and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
