NWTC Face Covering Policy

Face coverings are not required at any NWTC campuses or regional learning centers. Students and visitors who are not up to date on vaccinations are recommended to wear a face covering.

Campus Information

Are vaccines required to attend classes at NWTC?

No, vaccines are not required to attend classes on campus. However, some clinical sites are mandating vaccines for all employees and clinical students. If you are in an affected program, you should have received direct communication from your Dean about vaccination requirements.

What Should I Do if I Test Positive for COVID-19?

What should I do if I test positive for COVID-19?
 
First, we want you to know that if you test positive for COVID-19, our staff will be ready to assist you with the steps necessary to ensure your success. Your faculty will work with you to ensure you can complete your coursework.  

Students who test positive for COVID-19 are required to notify their instructor(s). After notification, the COVID Response Team will reach out to provide resources and return to campus information.

What if I am Awaiting COVID-19 Test Results or Required to Quarantine?

First, we want you to know that if you test positive for COVID-19, our staff will be ready to assist you with the steps necessary to ensure your success. Your faculty will work with you to ensure you can complete your coursework.  

Students should also notify their instructor(s) if they are at home awaiting test results after experiencing COVID-19 symptoms and have been on campus within the previous 48 hours, or if they were a close contact with someone who has tested positive and are required to quarantine. After notification, a member of the COVID Response Team will reach out to provide resources and return to campus information.
 
It is very important to stay home if experiencing symptoms or test positive for COVID-19. If a student tests positive, they are required to remain away from campus based on the CDC guidelines.

Student Services On Campus and Remote Services

All Student Services offices will be open to assist students in-person on campus.

Steps NWTC is Taking to Mitigate the Spread of COVID-19

Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) is committed to providing a high-quality and safe student educational experience while ensuring the safety of our students and our workforce in alignment with the CDC published guidelines.

Students not following these guidelines will be asked by faculty and staff to do so. Failure to comply will result in a request for the student to leave the campus and may result in disciplinary action for violation of the NWTC Student Code of Conduct.
