Gear Up Scholarship Campaign

Gear Up: Scholarships for a world class manufacturing Education

You can help keep the manufacturing industry thriving in Northeast Wisconsin. Your gift to the Gear Up Scholarship Campaign will fill the industry’s need for a skilled workforce while helping deserving students enter manufacturing careers.

A Need for Talent

More than half the manufacturers surveyed in the NEW Manufacturing Alliance 2016 Vitality Index said they plan to modernize their facilities and nearly a quarter plan to expand; however, 78 percent anticipate having difficulty hiring qualified workers.

The majority of unfilled manufacturing positions do not require a bachelor’s degree, but do require education and training beyond high school. NWTC produces machinists/CNC machinists, welders, and maintenance mechanics which are three of the top five most difficult-to-fill manufacturing positions in our region.

Please join NWTC in giving students the best chance at success.
Your generous support can gear up the manufacturing workforce and turn a financially-struggling student into a highly skilled manufacturing worker.
