Welcome New Students

Make sure you set up and check your NWTC email at least once a week for important information regarding your application status, next steps, financial information and course communications.  

All new students must complete the online Student Orientation and Registration (SOAR) session before they can register for classes. This session will provide answers to your questions and help you prepare for registration. Keep an eye on your email for a link to access SOAR Online and information on when class registration opens.

Some NWTC programs hold Program Orientations prior to the start of classes. These program-specific orientations are different from the required SOAR Online orientation for all new students. Please check your NWTC email for details regarding the date, time, and location.

• Summer orientation is held in May & June. 
• Fall orientations are held in August.
• Spring orientations are held in January.
