We offer a flexible learning schedule that fits your needs so you can get the training that you want when you need it!
What does this mean for you?
It means you don’t have to rearrange your already busy life in order to get CDL training at NWTC. Half-day sessions are generally scheduled Monday – Thursday. We currently offer a maximum student-to-instructor ratio of 2:1, so your learning is tailored to your needs.
Prior to taking one of our CDL training courses, NWTC will require proof of your Federal Medical Card as well as your Commercial Driver Learner Permit (CLP).

CDL Theory Course

16 Hours - Online, Self-paced.
Up to 90 days to complete the course.
Class A Manual
$4,699 (First exam included in Class A training fee.)
- 40 hrs Behind the Wheel
- 40 hrs Observation
- 2 students : 1 instructor
Complete in 4 weeks.
Class A Automatic
$3,999 (First exam included in Class A training fee.)
- 30 hrs Behind the Wheel
- 30 hrs Observation
- 2 students : 1 instructor
Complete in 3 weeks.
Class B Automatic
$2,899 (First exam included in Class B training fee.)
- 20 hrs Behind the Wheel
- 20 hrs Observation
- 2 students : 1 instructor
Complete in 2 weeks.
Exam Fees
- First Exam Only (no NWTC training) - $150
- Pre-trip Retake - $50
- Backing Retake - $50
- Road Retake - $50
- Lift Airbrake Restriction - $50
- Abbreviated School Bus - $50
NWTC is a certified Third Party Test site. We conduct the same CDL Pre-Trip and Road Tests provided by State Examiners.
