More than 3,600 eighth grade students from 24 area schools connected with over 30 local businesses at today’s Find Your Inspiration event, presented by Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in partnership with the Greater Green Bay Chamber.
Held at the Resch Expo on Wednesday, November 5, the event remains the largest single-day career exploration experience for eighth graders in Northeast Wisconsin.
Students took part in hands-on activities and demonstrations designed to showcase careers shaping Greater Green Bay. This year’s event featured 40 booths representing 15 key industries, including health sciences, human services, hospitality, manufacturing, agriculture, finance, law enforcement, education, and more.
“Developing our future workforce is at the heart of our work at the Greater Green Bay Chamber,” said Nikki Schneider, Director of Talent & Education at the Chamber. “Find Your Inspiration gives us a chance to reach students as they begin to imagine their futures before they pick their high school classes. It’s also a powerful way for local businesses to connect with the next generation of talent, building relationships that strengthen our community for years to come.”
“At NWTC, we believe in the power of early exploration to shape future success,” said Sarah Scharenbrock, manager of Recruitment & Admissions at NWTC. “Find Your Inspiration allows us to connect with local eighth grade students at a pivotal moment in their educational journey. Through hands-on experiences and exposure to a wide range of careers, we hope to ignite curiosity, build confidence, and help students envision a future where their passions can become professions.”
