Valarie Wunderlich joins NWTC's executive leadership team
Following an extensive search, Northeast Wisconsin Technical College names Valarie Wunderlich as vice president of Talent & Culture.

Wunderlich has been with NWTC since 2011 when she joined the College as a Director within Talent & Culture. During her tenure, she has been instrumental in the strategic direction and management of the benefit, wellness, and compensation programs.

“I have had the pleasure of working with Valarie for over 11 years. She has shown herself to be thoughtful, strategic, and committed to the student and staff wellbeing at our growing institution,” said Dr. Jeff Rafn, NWTC president. “I am confident that Valarie will continue to ensure NWTC achieves its vision of being a cutting-edge and life-learning college that transforms, strengthens, and inspires all students.” 

In her executive leadership role, Valarie Wunderlich is responsible for the organizational development necessary to achieve the mission, vision, and values of the College.

“I am deeply honored to be joining NWTC’s executive leadership team at this pivotal time. As the employment landscape continues to evolve, I look forward to being a strategic partner to build the best possible workplace. Together, our focus will continue to attract and retain talent at all levels, support an inclusive workplace, and advance the development of faculty and staff.”

Prior to joining the College, she brings over 20 years of leadership and employee relations experience where she worked with a number of large-scale companies such as EAA, Shopko Stores, Georgia-Pacific, and more.

Wunderlich is a Jackie Nitschke Center Board Member and District Mutual Insurance (DMI) Board of Directors. She is experienced as a chairperson of the Wisconsin Technical College System HR Committee and is an active member of the community. 

She earned a B.A. in Computer Science with minor in Business Administration from Lakeland University.
