Introduction to Myofunctional Therapy
Gain a foundational understanding of myofunctional therapy and its role in oral function, airway health, and overall development. Learn how oral habits, breathing patterns, tongue posture, and muscle dysfunction can influence facial growth, sleep quality, swallowing, and long-term health outcomes.
Attendees will explore common signs of dysfunction, assessment approaches, and the collaborative nature of care across pediatric and adult populations.
Tongue Range of Motion & Swallowing Workshop
This interactive afternoon workshop focuses on tongue mobility, oral function, and swallowing patterns. Participants will learn practical assessment techniques, identify compensatory patterns, and gain hands-on exposure to foundational concepts used in myofunctional therapy.
Leave with actionable insights to help recognize functional limitations and determine when additional evaluation or interdisciplinary collaboration may be beneficial.
2027 Featured Speaker
Brittny Murphy, RDH, BS, COM®, QOM®
Brittny Murphy is a registered dental hygienist, educator, author, and recognized leader in sleep and myofunctional therapy. As founder of CT Orofacial Myology and co-founder of MyoAir, she has helped hundreds of patients improve breathing, sleep, and overall health through myofunctional therapy.
She serves on the faculty of Airway Health Solutions, co-directs the myofunctional therapy program at Tooth Pillow, serves on the IAOM board, and hosts the podcast I Spy with My Myo Eye.
