Hindsight is 2020: A Retrospective Exhibit

March 7 - June 1, 2020

Neville Public Museum

Hindsight is 2020 A Retrospective Exhibit Opening
Exhibition Summary

Hindsight is 20/20: A Retrospective is a juried exhibition hosted at the Neville Public Museum that will feature the artwork of Artisan and Business Center students and instructors. Over the past eight years the Artisan Center has been operating, we have had the opportunity to witness the artistic growth of several artists. This inspired us to reflect on our mission at the Artisan and Business Center and use what we have learned to continue to create an inspiring and inclusive space for all artists.

This is not your typical retrospective. For this exhibition, we are asking artisans to take a retrospective approach to create an original piece of artwork. Artisans can interpret this in a number of ways. For example, artists could choose to reflect on past personal experiences or their journey as an artist to develop their concept. Artisans could also decide to take a “retro” approach to their craft through its aesthetic and/or design techniques employed. Artisans may also choose to create a piece of art with a social or political commentary.

The exhibition will be on display from March 7–June 1, 2020 at the Neville Public Museum.
