Workshop participants will leave this series with a better understanding of the importance of marketing, strategies to implement, storytelling and content creation tools, online and local marketing resources to reference for advice and a yearly marketing plan.

Hosted and Instructed by Kate Guth, Program Coordinator at the NWTC Small Business Initiative. Kate (Katie) Guth is a creative entrepreneur by heart. Born into an entrepreneurial, she watched her dad run his own construction business. Kate often suggested innovative advertising which created her passions for marketing and design. Kate studied at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, earning degrees in Marketing as well as Design & Graphic Technology. After college, Kate dove into the fast-paced corporate world in various roles in marketing, purchasing, staffing, human resources and customer service. Her passion for entrepreneurs and small business was always on her mind. The move to NWTC was a natural fit. Kate started at NWTC in 2016 and was quickly promoted to Program Coordinator of the Small Business Initiative. Always evolving and learning, Kate is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree at Southern New Hampshire University in Marketing.

In her free time, Kate enjoys creating graphic designs, running, golfing, and enjoying the outdoors with her dogs. She also enjoys donating time to her church, Girls on the Run, and other local organizations. Motivated by her deep-seeded entrepreneurial drive, Kate makes sure that new entrepreneurs and local businesses are welcomed and equipped with the tools for lasting success.
