Woodturning, ceramics, drawing, and more! NWTC is offering a variety of summer art classes for youth and adults of every skill level.
All summer art classes are just 12 hours long, so you can try something new or hone your skills without a major time commitment (a big plus if your summer is already packed!). Classes are held at the NWTC Artisan and Business Center in downtown Green Bay.
Eager to be creative but apprehensive about taking a class? Whether you’re a beginner or you have a background in the visual arts, there is a place for you at the Artisan Center. Ashley Beyer, who coordinates the facility’s art programming and day-to-day operations, understands how some individuals may feel intimidated before experiencing a class or believe they don’t belong in a studio environment.
“I want to tear down those walls,” said Ashley, who strives to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all. “I want people to feel as comfortable as possible.”

Summer classes at the Artisan and Business Center are for anyone seeking a creative outlet or wanting to try something new in an inspiring environment with like-minded people. This summer we are offering classes for artists, aspiring or experienced, ages 8 to 108. Our summer classes are great for people interested in creating art for the first time, as well as those looking to rekindle their passion.
Why take classes at the Artisan Center?
The Artisan Center offers state-of-the art equipment in several studios, including ceramics, art metals and jewelry, drawing, painting, fused glass, textiles and woodturning. It’s a unique place because anyone can come in and take a class. We don’t require any experience or credentials for our beginner classes. Whether you’ve never picked up a paintbrush, or you’re an experienced artist, there is something for you at the Artisan Center. The Artisan Center also offers a wonderful sense of community and support system for aspiring entrepreneurs.
