HSED and Justice and Community Advocacy program graduate’s path to transferring
When starting at NWTC, Melinda Gregurich thought she was only going to earn her GED®. Now, she's transferring to earn a bachelor's degree.
The NWTC Educational Foundation is one of 45 nonprofits selected to participate in this year's Give BIG Green Bay! This 24-hour online giving event (February 16 at noon to February 17 at noon) offers $350,000 in matching funds and incentives from the Green Bay Packers Foundation and other donors. So when you select the Foundation as the recipient of your gift during Give BIG Green Bay, you have the potential to make a BIG impact. Tell your friends, loved ones, colleagues to spread the word!
You can help make college possible for our students! Your contribution will help students through scholarships and emergency funding. At NWTC, nearly 600 students shared they worry about running out of food or are at-risk of losing housing. Receiving a scholarship or emergency funding can be crucial to completing a semester.
If a college education – whether that means a certificate, technical diploma, or a degree program – could be possible for all, more people would be employed in careers with family-sustaining salaries. Just as important, more people would have the knowledge and skills to thrive in careers they love!
If you or a friend or family member have ever attended college, then you know how hard it can be to make ends meet while pursuing your goals. And you know the temptation to quit when times are tough can be strong.
For 50 years, The NWTC Educational Foundation has supported students and the College through life-changing scholarships and other funding. The great work of the Foundation would not be possible without the generosity of caring donors. A gift in any amount can make a big difference!
We are thrilled to participate in this year's event. It is such an amazing opportunity for our community to come together to make a difference and help students pursue their dreams at NWTC!

"To think that somebody out there thought that a guy right there deserves this, because he is going somewhere. I felt like I was going to cry. This scholarship isn't only a blessing, but it's a gift."
Adriana Vander Leest, '18:
"I did a double take and made phone calls to make sure I wasn't mistaken. Never thought I would have qualified or would have been chosen. Made me feel worthy of great things!"
