NWTC Refund Selection Packet

Watch for your NWTC Refund Selection Packet in the mail!

It comes in a bright green envelope. 

  • All students receiving financial aid or enrolled in at least 6 credit hours will receive a refund packet in the mail approximately 1 week after initial registration. 
  • The packet will be sent to the mailing address you have on file with NWTC, so please make sure to keep your address current with the college!  This packet is the key to receiving any refunds from NWTC.  Some of the reasons students might receive refunds include:  dropping a class, refund of financial aid, etc…

Regardless of whether or not you anticipate receiving a refund, it is important to select your refund preference as soon as you receive your packet.

The CHOICE is yours and in order to receive your refund through your desired preference and on time, make your refund preference selection through the website. Delaying your choice delays your refunds.
Below is a list of your refund delivery options and more detailed information about each choice.

1. Electronic Deposit to Another Account

One to two business days

Money is transferred to another account the same business day BankMobile receives funds from NWTC. Typically, it takes 1-2 business days for the receiving bank to credit the money to your account.

2. Electronic Deposit to A BankMobile Vibe Account

One business day

If you open a BankMobile Vibe account (upon identity verification), money is deposited the same business day BankMobile receives funds from NWTC.

The BankMobile Vibe Account is the checking account that is associated with your NWTC Debit Card. You can make purchases with your NWTC Debit Card wherever Debit Mastercard is accepted, and use it to withdraw funds fee-free from the ATM located on the Green Bay Campus and Marinette Campus.

BankMobile Vibe checking account has:

  • No Overdraft fees
  • No NSF fees
  • No monthly fee for students
  • Fee-free access to 55,000 Allpoint ATMs (out of network ATM fees apply). 
    • Allpoint ATMs are located in some of the most popular retail stores in America, such as Target, Walgreens, CVS, 7-Eleven, Safeway, and Kroger-places students already know and frequent for everyday purchases. Students can find ATMs at www.allpointnetwork.com.
  • Check out the fee schedule and Terms and conditions. Bank Mobile Vibe is an internet-only, non-interest bearing, FDIC-insured checking account with:
  • Mobile Banking
  • Mobile Check Deposit
  • Free checks
  • Cash deposit limits
  • Cash withdrawal limits
  • Free Online Bill Pay

3. Paper Check Delivered by USPS

Five to seven business days

A check is mailed the same business day BankMobile receives funds from NWTC, provided receipt is within daily cutoff times. Typically, it takes 5-7 business days for the check to arrive, depending on USPS First-Class delivery timeframes.
 

The Student Finance Office will begin releasing the funds once all of the following have taken place:

  • Funds are received by the governmental agency or lending institution.
  • Financial Aid has disbursed the funds onto your account, and your tuition and fees are paid in full.
  • You may go to my.NWTC and then log in to My.Financials to view your account to see if the funds have been disbursed.
  • Student Finance office will begin generating refunds for any students with credit balances.  Due to the volume of students receiving funds, this process takes several days to complete. The Student Finance Office begins processing refunds the next business day after the funds have been disbursed on your account and continues to process refunds every day until all refunds are released. This process can take up to 14 days to complete. You may go to My.Financials to view your account. If your refund has been generated you will see a line item with the description of Bank Mobile, and a date generated with it.
